Well, the sunshine state is a pretty great place to live. Year round comfortable temperatures. Beautiful beaches on every coast. More sports teams than you can shake a stick at, and culture out the behind. But there is one aspect of our beautiful state that holds us back. And no, I’m not talking about the humidity. It’s the bugs. Our beautiful, sunny little state is also home to tons of swamps. And when you have swamps, moisture, and warm weather, you’re going to have lots of bugs. And central Florida is no different, and has more than it’s fair share of Brandon bugs. That’s why today we’ll be discussing a few of the worst offenders, and how to identify an infestation.
Brandon Bugs: The Most Wanted
The first insect you should always call a pest control specialist for is the bed bug. Bed bugs are horrible little blood sucking creatures that stick around year round, and couldn’t care less for how cold or warm it gets outside. They live in your home, in your bedroom, and even in your walls at times. Then, at night, they crawl out from their hiding spots and take a nice bite of you and drink your blood. Horrible, right? Thankfully, it’s pretty easy to tell if you have bed bugs. Everything from waking up with bites up and down your arms, to finding droppings and spots of blood in your bed are telltale signs that these Brandon Bugs have taken up residence in your home.
Number two on our list is the dreaded mosquito. You’ll notice a theme in this article, and that’s parasites. Any bug infestation is bad, don’t get me wrong, but when they actually bite you and your family, it gets much worse. Especially the dreaded mosquito. And you don’t have just one kind to worry about down here in Florida. We have mosquito species from every corner of the world thanks to our bustling ports and trade. Unfortunately, that goes hand in hand with bloodborne illnesses.
And finally, fleas. You’ll have less trouble with these than your pets, but these Brandon bugs are not to be underestimated. Sure, you should certainly see your vet first to get fido taken care of, but if your house isnt properly cleaned of fleas by a pro, you’ll just doom your beloved pet to another round of itchy parasites.
What Should You Do?
Unfortunately, there’s not much a layman can do in the event of one of these infestations. That’s why you should make sure to contact a pest control specialist in Brandon and get it done the right way. Especially try and find someone that uses natural methods of pest control, as chemical pesticides have long had their safety called into question, and it’s better to not risk your health, the health of your family, and the health of your pets while getting your Brandon bugs taken care of.
