Granite Counter Top – This tip comes from John – St Petersburg – “To clean your granite counter tops with out the use of toxic chemicals, I would suggest the following mixture. In a spray bottle add 1 part rubbing alcohol, 3 parts water and 2 drops dish soap. Spray on counter, wipe off with dust free cloth. It will keep your granite counter top shiny, spot free and sanitized”
Slow Drain Tip – This Tip Comes From Michelle -Temple Terrace – “If you have a slow drain, the tip I having been using for years will work for you too. Put about a half cup baking soda in your drain. Then pour about a cup of white distilled vinegar into the baking soda. Then immediately, pour about three cups of hot water over the baking soda/vinegar mixture. Then follow up after about 5 minutes with about a qt of hot water.”
Clean Sterling Silver Tip – This Tip Comes From Rose – Brandon – “Cleaning your sterling silver is easy and does not require toxic chemicals. This is what I do. First, I line the bottom of a casserole dish with aluminum foil. Second I place a few silver pieces onto the foil. Third, I sprinkle the jewelry with baking soda. Fourth, cover jewelry with boiling water. Fifth, after the bubbling stops, rinse with cool water. Sixth, dry off with lint free cloth”
